Frustrations

I continue, in spite of my "Death March" to gain weight. I never feel like exercising in the AM and my afternoons and evenings have been too busy to go for it. Something has to change! I guess its me.

I have been thinking of doing a few weeks of Dr. Atkins, or perhaps a diet I have used before, "The Dave Diet"

No sugar.
Lower fat.
Reduced starches.
No junk food.

I am getting to the point where I can't get out of chairs easily. I cannot do much of anything!

Hey Dave,

If you were to do a diet I think Sonoma would be better health wise than Atkins. I own an excellent resource, a book called "Carbs from Heaven, Carbs From Hell",

I tell people currently that my eating habits are mainly about healthly living more so than diet.

I feel better in my mid forties than I did in my mid thirties.

I limited my meat consumption to mostly lamb and fish. I have ditched most of the dairy products, I'm down to about 95% dairy free. I have some skim milk organic ice cream from time to time.

I eat lighter meals (almost no cooked foods at all) for dinner.

My energy and endurance has increased.

I've lost 2 inches on the waist, and a total of about 25 lbs. I'm bivocational, and it keeps my walking and doing some lifting.

But the first two years of this job was a struggle physically, and I've seen no strength increase, sense changing my eating habits, I have even seen some muscle increase.

I've been at this for about a year and a half.

And yes I'm baptist.
